They say that “Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others” and when it comes to taking photographs these days the saying “the best camera is the one that you have with you” is as true as it gets.

IMG_20160526_091747-01Just before going for the Sikkim roadtrip I had purchased a new mobile phone, the LeTV Le1s. I have always been a fan of photographers who could shoot wonderful photographs with their mobile phones. Having being fascinated by the wonderful imagery produced by great many photographers using mobile phones I had envisioned to make a series of mobile phone photographs on this upcoming roadtrip.

I made the first photograph just before leaving for the trip. It was 3 a.m. in the morning and taking out the mobile phone was much easier than taking the photograph with the DSLR (which had to be unpacked from the luggage). The photograph was later edited with snapseed (Check out the article I wrote on snapseed and why every mobile photographer should start using it).

After reaching Siliguri the first sight of the hills, mist quenched my thirst to ride on the hills. While passing the tea gardens of Sikkim (Temi Tea estate) we stopped and took a photograph. The ease of taking photographs with the mobile phone is unparalleled. This panorama shot of Temi would never had been taken if I only had the DSLR to shoot with. It was raining on and off making it very difficult to take the DSLR out. Thanks to the mobile phone camera which helped me get these photographs.

I was constantly sharing few photographs on social media mainly through Instagram. Here is my Instagram accounts link.

This was my first trip were I clicked many photographs with the mobile phone and I was delighted that I did it. Most of the photographs were either edited with Snapseed or with VSCO for purpose of sharing on Instagram/twitter.

Till next time, happy photographing.
